For websites that respond with a request for payment for link placement or brand mentions we recommend reviewing the specific details to ensure that the offer does not violate Google’s guidelines on link building. Paying to get listed on a directory or to become a published author does not necessarily violate the terms if it is done for a reason other than to acquire the link. But ultimately the choice is going to be up to you.
